What is an Agent Skill?

An Agent Skill is a written package that teaches an AI assistant how to do one job your way: the steps, the decision rules, the templates and the edge cases your best people handle. With it, a general model works like someone who knows your process.

How are skills different from prompts?

A prompt is an instruction you paste once and lose. A skill is saved, versioned and reusable. You improve it over time, and everyone who uses it gets the current version, so quality builds up instead of resetting with every conversation.

Where do skills run?

In the AI tools your team already uses: Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor and Agentman agents. They all read the same library over a single MCP connection, so your method does not live in one tool.

Do I need to be technical to create a skill?

No. If you can describe how a task should be done, you can write a skill. Start from a skill in the library and adapt it, or write your own in plain English. No code is required.

How do I connect skills to my AI tools?

Create a free account, then paste your library’s MCP address into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any tool that speaks MCP. You sign in once with OAuth. There is nothing to install locally.

What are plugins and MCP connectors?

A skill says how to do the work. An MCP connector is a secure link to a tool your team runs on, such as a CRM, a document store or an EHR, so the assistant can reach the data. A plugin is a ready-made bundle of skills and commands for a whole function, such as finance or legal.

Can skills be shared across a team?

Yes. Skills live in a shared library with version history and access set per skill. On the Business plan you also get use-only sharing, approvals before a change is published, and a view of who has access and what they did.

What is the difference between use, read and edit access?

Access is set per skill. Read lets someone view a skill’s contents. Edit lets them change it. Admin controls sharing and settings. Use, available on the Business plan, lets someone run the skill and apply its output without seeing the instructions inside it. Every skill is private until you share it.

What if I need more than skills, such as a whole workflow built?
