OpusClip
by OpusClip
Turn long videos into short clips from your AI assistant: submit footage, read transcripts, edit clips, then request a post or schedule to a connected social account. 28 tools, OAuth sign-in, and publishing that only commits after you confirm it in OpusClip.
Verified connector
Listed by Anthropic as a partner connector in its Connectors Directory.
Connection checked by Agentman on .
Anthropic states this reflects the level of review a connector received, not a security audit.
Connect OpusClip via MCP
https://api.opus.pro/api/mcpWorks in any MCP-compatible client. In Agentman Studio it is one click — no config file to edit.
Use in Agentman

Limits
- Calling a tool needs a paid plan. Pro Beta, Max or Business. Any account can sign in and read the catalog; a call without the entitlement returns an upgrade prompt, and an org without API access gets "API access not enabled for this org".
- The monthly cap is 900 credits / 15 hours per workspace on Pro Beta and Max. Hitting it returns HTTP
403with the codeAPI_MONTHLY_CAP_REACHED, plusreset_atandupgrade_urlfields. OpusClip deliberately uses 403 rather than 429 so agent frameworks do not retry in a loop. The web app stays fully usable while the API is capped. - API projects have a 10-credit minimum, about ten minutes of clip time. Web-app submissions do not carry it.
- Concurrency is capped at 4 projects on Pro Beta and Max, 50 on Business. Exceeding it returns
429. The core project and clip APIs are also rate-limited to 30 requests per minute per key. - Video length caps at 10 hours and 30 GB.
- Projects expire after 30 days by default unless auto-save writes them to storage.
- Social posting has per-platform daily ceilings that OpusClip does not control: X 150/day, Instagram 40/day, TikTok 4/minute and 15/day, YouTube a soft 15/day beyond which posts may fail. There is also an OpusClip-wide daily cap across all users on X, so a post can be blocked by other people's volume.
- Posting a clip to X consumes 1 credit per post, on top of clipping costs.
- No media generation. OpusClip states this connector exposes no image, video or audio generation tools, and that generation options on the workflow tools — clip dubbing, for example — are unavailable here. Those live on the separate MCP server.
- Two of the 28 tools are deprecated no-ops that return only a pointer to
opusclip_edit_clip. - Undo covers 72 hours and one step, and is refused if the clip changed after that edit.
- No live tool schemas. The endpoint requires authentication, so we did not read parameter schemas or safety annotations. Tool names come from Anthropic's directory listing and their behaviour from OpusClip's documentation; neither is a substitute for a handshake.
- The org is fixed at connection time. A multi-org user picks one on the OAuth consent screen and cannot switch without disconnecting and reconnecting.
Frequently asked questions
It can request a post, but it cannot complete one. OpusClip's connector documentation states that posting, scheduling, unscheduling and sharing return an approval link rather than committing, and that the action runs only after you open that link and confirm it in your own signed-in OpusClip session. The vendor states the agent cannot post in the background.
Pro Beta, Max or Business. OpusClip documents that any account can complete the OAuth flow and view the tool catalog, but calling a tool needs one of those three plans — without the entitlement the host returns an upgrade prompt. Pro Beta and Max orgs receive API access automatically; other orgs must contact OpusClip sales for it.
900 credits, or 15 hours, per workspace per calendar month on Pro Beta and Max. OpusClip's limitations page states that exceeding it returns HTTP 403 rather than 429, so agent frameworks do not retry in a loop, and that access resumes on the first day of the next month in UTC. Business plans follow their contract.
Because the approval link was never opened. OpusClip's troubleshooting section says nothing is posted, scheduled or shared until you open the link the tool returned and confirm it. Links expire on their own — one hour for an immediate post, twenty-four hours for sharing and cancelling — and the vendor says to ask the agent for a fresh one.
Yes, within 72 hours. OpusClip documents an undo operation on its editing tool that reverts the previous edit call, must be the only operation in that call, and redoes when called twice. It is refused if the clip changed after that edit — a save from the web editor, for example — so newer work is never discarded.
Ten hours, at up to 30 GB. OpusClip's limitations page states that maximum duration and file size, and adds that videos exceeding it may hit processing issues. Separately, API-submitted projects carry a 10-credit minimum of roughly ten minutes of clip time, which submissions made through the OpusClip web app do not.
YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Page, LinkedIn Business and X. OpusClip's help centre lists those six as supported for autoposting, and each carries its own daily ceiling — X at 150 a day, Instagram at 40, TikTok at 15, and YouTube a soft limit of 15 beyond which posts may fail.
Not as a hand-added endpoint. OpusClip states that adding this endpoint manually as a custom connector is not the route, and points hosts such as Cursor, Cline and Claude Code at a separate MCP server carrying the full catalog. That second server behaves differently: the four publishing tools commit directly there, with no confirmation step.

- No live handshake. The endpoint is authenticated and we did not sign in, so no tool schemas or safety annotations were read.
