AI medical answering service you can test tonight.
Patient calls stop going to voicemail when the office closes. Medman AI Receptionist answers 24/7, takes the message, books with your EHR connected and marks each callback Urgent, Important, Normal or Low. Your team reviews everything and decides what happens next.

Find your practice, pick a voice, get a number and make a test call. Forward your calls when you're ready, with no porting and no IT project.
Teach it as you go
Questions it couldn't answer are listed for your team. Add the answer once and it can use it next time, so it keeps getting better at your practice.
The calls that come in once the front desk goes home.
- New patient
“Are you taking new patients?”
She gets out of work at 6:15 and finally has a minute to find a doctor. Your office closed at five. Voicemail picks up, so she tries the next practice on her plan’s list, and that one becomes her doctor.
Your AI receptionist answers from the details you’ve reviewed and takes her name, number and reason for calling. With your EHR connected, she can book the visit before she hangs up.
- Existing patient
“Can I move Thursday?”
At 9 p.m. a patient checks his calendar and sees a conflict with his Thursday visit. He means to call in the morning, forgets, and Thursday’s slot sits empty.
With your EHR connected he reschedules right on the call. Without it, his request and number are in your team’s inbox when they open, in time to offer the slot to someone else.
- Existing patient
“My refill runs out Monday”
On Friday night a patient counts her pills and calls the office. Her voicemail waits behind every other weekend message, and your team spends Monday morning replaying them.
Each call is written up with what the caller asked for and a suggested next step. Your team filters to Urgent and Important and starts with the calls that matter most.
- Worried family
“His incision looks red”
A daughter calls at 10 p.m., two days after her father’s surgery, unsure whether this can wait. A recording leaves her with nothing to do but worry.
It gives no medical advice and points anyone with an emergency to emergency care. It takes her details and can mark the call Urgent, which alerts everyone on your team who has alerts on.
Your team opens a marked list instead of a voicemail box.
Routine calls are already handled. The rest are written up and marked by what the caller needs, so your team starts with the calls that matter most.

Fictional calls. Booking needs a connected EHR. Priorities are suggestions and your team decides. It is not an emergency line.
What practices check first, answered.
What stays with your team
Scheduling without a connected EHR: It takes the request; your team books the appointment. Clinical questions: It does not give medical advice or make clinical decisions. Emergencies: It is not an emergency line; it points callers with an emergency to emergency care.
A signed BAA, and the EHR you already use.
We sign a Business Associate Agreement before any patient data moves. You don't need an EHR to start. Connect yours and patients can book, reschedule and cancel right on the call.

Questions practice managers ask first.
Does it learn our practice?
Yes, as you teach it. Questions it couldn’t answer are listed for your team. Add the answer once and it can use it next time.
Is this a live operator?
No. Calls are answered by an AI receptionist, and the suggested greeting tells callers so. Your practice sets the rules for which calls go to the on-call doctor, and it applies them to what the caller describes, so a call that meets a rule is transferred even if the caller never asks. The rest become messages. If you need a live operator on every call, a human answering service is the better fit.
Does it transfer calls to the on-call doctor?
Yes. You give it your practice’s rules for which calls should reach the on-call doctor. It applies them to what the caller describes, so it does not wait for the caller to ask. Calls that do not meet a rule are taken as messages.
Can we try it alongside our current answering service?
Yes. Your calls keep going where they go today while you set it up and make test calls. Nothing changes until you forward your number, so you can start with one night or one weekend.
Can it answer only after hours?
Yes. You decide which calls it gets by choosing when your number forwards to it, so you can start with nights and weekends and add daytime overflow later.
What happens to an urgent call at night?
It takes the caller’s details and suggests a priority once the call is written up. An Urgent call alerts everyone on your team who has alerts on. Priorities are suggestions and your team decides. It is not an emergency line and it does not give medical advice; it points callers with an emergency to emergency care.
Do we have to change our phone number?
No. You get a new local number for setup, and you forward your existing practice number to it when you are ready. Nothing changes until you do.
Does it book appointments?
Yes, with your EHR connected: patients book, reschedule and cancel right on the call. Without a connected EHR it takes the request and callback number, and your team books.
What about HIPAA and patient information?
Medman is built for HIPAA, and we sign a Business Associate Agreement before any patient data moves. Medical-practice setup and agreements are required before patient calls. Use fictional details for testing.
Do you work with multi-location specialty practices?
Yes. Medman serves multi-location specialty practices as well as single practices.
Do you charge per provider?
No. You pay a monthly base that includes minutes for the whole practice. Adding a provider does not change your plan.
What does it cost?
Free to start, no card needed: 15 AI minutes a month. Plans are a monthly base with minutes included, shared across the practice however many providers you have. Paid plans are $99 a month for 300 AI minutes and $199 a month for 600 AI minutes. No annual contract.
