Limits

Upwork's documentation is access-restricted, so this page is deliberately thin. https://www.upwork.com/ai/mcp returns HTTP 403 to every automated request we made, including with a browser user-agent — and so does https://www.upwork.com/robots.txt, so we could not even read the access policy. This page therefore carries no prerequisites, plan requirements, rate limits or troubleshooting guidance, because none were available to cite.
There is no FAQ on this page, and that is the point. A connector FAQ is only honest when the questions come from the vendor's own troubleshooting material. With the documentation access-restricted there is no sourced question set, so inventing one would be the fabrication this catalogue exists to avoid. It is a Tier C page by necessity, and a thin accurate page beats a full invented one.
No tool descriptions or schemas. The endpoint requires OAuth, so we have names from Anthropic's directory and nothing more. What each tool accepts and returns is not something we can state.
A permission mechanism exists but is undocumented to us. Three tools set tool mode and permissions; we cannot say what they gate.
Write tools reach counterparties. Ending a contract, submitting milestones, posting a job and sending a message all change state other people see.
Plan and fee implications are unknown. Upwork's commercial terms around connector use are not something we could verify.
