Can the Crossbeam MCP server see my partners' customer lists?
No. It sees only the overlap your partner chose to share with you, which is the same slice Crossbeam's web app shows. Crossbeam's privacy FAQ states that non-matching records stay private and that partners see only the specific fields you configured for records that match. The connector reads through your own seat, so it inherits those sharing settings rather than bypassing them.
Does find_partner_contacts return real names and email addresses?
Yes, when a partner has chosen to share contact fields. Crossbeam's tool reference publishes an example response carrying a contact name, job title and email address, plus role tags such as economic buyer. These are contacts at your own account that a partner shared from their CRM, and Crossbeam's help centre states the fields appear only when the partner is sharing them.
Which Crossbeam plan do I need for the MCP server?
Supernode or Enterprise. Crossbeam's help centre publishes a plan table showing no access on Free and Connector plans, and access on Supernode and Enterprise. It is enabled by default for existing customers on those two plans. Crossbeam also warns that availability during Limited Availability does not guarantee inclusion in your plan at general launch.
Can the Crossbeam connector change anything in my account?
No write tool is documented. Crossbeam's tool reference states every tool it exposes is read-only and operates within the scopes granted to the connected user. Anthropic's directory publishes no permissions label for this connector at all, so the read-only claim rests on Crossbeam's own documentation and the read-shaped tool names rather than on a directory label.
Why does the Crossbeam connector ask me to confirm which account I meant?
A name you passed matched more than one record. Crossbeam's tool reference documents a ClarificationRequired response that lists the candidate records instead of guessing between them. The fix is to call again using the exact ID from that list. Crossbeam states ID inputs always take precedence over name inputs and skip fuzzy matching entirely.
Does the Crossbeam MCP server work with ChatGPT and other AI tools?
Yes. Crossbeam ships native connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Glean, and documents setup for Gong Agent Studio, n8n, Microsoft Copilot and LibreChat. Any MCP-capable client can connect using the server URL. Crossbeam notes that ChatGPT app connections require a paid plan and are disabled by default in Enterprise and Education workspaces until an administrator enables them.
Why does Anthropic list 12 Crossbeam tools when the docs describe 10?
The directory snapshot is stale. Crossbeam's changelog records a release on 17 June 2026 that deprecated get_overlap_list_link and get_ecosystem_list_link in favour of find_overlaps. Anthropic's snapshot from 16 August 2026 still lists both. The server is OAuth-gated, so we could not read the live tool list to confirm which names it currently serves.
