Limits
- A paid Quartr Pro subscription is mandatory, and it has no published price. Quartr's pricing page routes to Contact sales. Budget a sales conversation before budgeting an integration.
- Student plans are excluded by name. Quartr states this in two places. A student seat cannot authorise the connector.
- One scope,
mcp:tools, gating a surface that includes five deletion tools. The consent screen offers nothing to decline, and Quartr's authorization server advertises no narrower scope, so no read-only connection is possible. - The connector can delete your watchlists, keyword alerts, folders, workspaces and saved filters. No restore, undelete or archive tool appears in either tool list, and Quartr publishes no durability statement in either direction.
- The directory listing understates the write surface. Quartr's own reference documents four further writing tools, including
write_workspace, a live edit that appends to or replaces a workspace body. - One tool name differs between the two sources. The directory lists
read_live_transcript; Quartr's reference listsread_transcript. Check your client's own tool list. - Redistribution is prohibited. Quartr's Pro user terms bar scraping, mirroring, bulk download and systematic extraction of retrieved content, and bar building any database or archive from it.
- AI training is prohibited except through the MCP server as documented. The carve-out is bounded by Quartr's documentation; it is not general permission to use Service Data for model development.
- Rate limits are sized for one researcher. 100 requests per minute, 2,250 per hour and 8,500 per day in total, with per-tool limits from 20 to 100 per minute. A long agentic run over a peer group can reach them.
- Enterprise and product use is directed elsewhere. Quartr routes teams and programmatic integrations to its Public API, which carries separate internal-use and redistribution terms.
- We could not read tool schemas or safety annotations. The endpoint requires authentication, so the 38 count and the tool names are the directory's, and parameter-level detail is not published here. What we read live was the auth posture and both OAuth descriptors.

Is MCP access included with Quartr Pro?
Yes. Quartr's MCP page states that every Quartr Pro subscription includes MCP access, and its server documentation says a Quartr Pro subscription is required to connect. Quartr publishes no list price for Pro; the pricing page routes to Contact sales, so the commercial gate is a sales conversation rather than a self-serve checkout.
Are student plans eligible for MCP access?
No. Quartr states that MCP access requires an active Quartr Pro subscription and that student plans are not eligible. Its server documentation repeats the exclusion in the same sentence that names the Pro requirement. A student account can sign in to Quartr but will not be able to authorise the MCP connector.
Can my AI manage my Quartr setup through MCP?
Yes, and this is the part people miss. Quartr states that Claude can create watchlists, set keyword alerts, build search filters and organise your coverage universe through natural language. Seventeen of the 38 listed tools carry create, update, delete, rename, add, remove or tag verbs, so the connector writes as well as reads.
Does Quartr MCP work in real time during live earnings calls?

No. Quartr directs enterprise deployments and AI products built on its data layer to the Quartr API instead. Its server documentation is blunter: the MCP server is for individual subscribers doing their own research workflows, and teams needing programmatic access should use the Public API, which has separate redistribution terms.
What are the rate limits on the Quartr MCP server?
Quartr documents per-user limits that vary by tool between 20 and 100 requests per minute, plus an overall ceiling of 100 requests per minute, 2,250 per hour and 8,500 per day. Exceeding a limit returns an HTTP 429 response carrying a Retry-After header telling your client when to try again.
